Can wizards kite?

Im new to EQ2 and i was wondering can we still kite as a wizard? if so at what level can you start and what all is needed?

We dont have a long lasting reliable snare.  When root breaks tho, then it turns into a weak snare (better if you get adept or master), and that helps give me some running distance to reapply root.  So its kind of a poor mans kite.

We do have a very reliable snare that slows target by 75%, the main issue with it is that it is a point blank AoE with either a 5 or 7 m range, but it does last for 36 secoonds.

The Vanguard sorcerer is much more a great solo kiter. With an AE than he can cast while running around.Too bad game is not as good as EQ2 is <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
