If they do I hope it's only an option. I already hate wasting poisons when I have to switch them out for certain fights.

Would be nice for raids and eliminate the worry of having to reapply poison every 10 minutes.

i wish the poison icon on my concentration bar would have a little number on it telling me how many charges it has left, so i can more easily know when to reapply seems like a solid change, imo

Some custom uis like profit will even display the value on screen for you.

How about also making the poison icon match the color of the item in your inventory? Doesn't make sense that a caustic is red in inventory and red on the effect, yet ignorant bliss is blue in inventory, but yellow on the effect.

To the few that actually make the mods, it would take away one of their favourate passtimes.

Why would they?

There will always be modded UIs just because people like things to look different, or have a preference on look and feel. If a functionality is useful to the community in general (IE benefits multiple classes) then it should be considered for a standard update. This in no way invalidates what the community is producing, or what mods are made. After all you can still put that lilttle number in a different window, or color, or whatever you can come up with.

The poster asked for a number count on a buff so they knew how many procs it had left. This is something a large portion of the playerbase could benefit from (namely any class that has buffs with procs on them). For the answer to that request be go download a 3rd party UI is ridiculous in my opinion. Am I saying they should make the change right this second and have it on test tomorrow? Of course not. But a response of "That might be considered useful if we can get some time maybe we will look into it, but you can also get that functionality from a 3rd party UI." would have been more preferrable to me. Does that mean it will make it in? Obviously not, maybe adding the number to all the buffs that would need it would cause severe lag. If so, then certainly don't implement it.

EQ2 has one of the best UIs IMO because I *don't* have to download 3rd party UIs to play the game and have a useful layout. Of the various MMOs I have played their UI team seems to do the best job when it comes to freedom of in game customization. In EQ1 I extensively modified my UI to fit what I wanted to see where I wanted to see it. In EQ2 I have managed to accomplish much of the same just by moving windows around and resizing them. My appreciation to the UI dev group for making this possible.

We have seen several windows added / updated since release to add more feedback to the user. Could those have all been done through 3rd party UI mods? Sure, but what comes in the box is what hooks people, and is what many choose to keep. If this is useful enough and doesn't noticeably hurt performance then it should be considered for the same treatment.

Please don't exaggerate what I am saying as you seem to be doing. I only said that using the existence of a mod as a reason not to consider adding something is not right. Now if the change would cause severe lag that is a reason not to implement it and has nothing to do with 3rd party mods. Nor am I saying they should go through and add every piece of every mod. Especially since many of those mods are skins and wouldn't be compatible anyway. I never cried for the downfall of all mods, or for every piece of every mod to be implemented. Only for a better answer than xyz 3rd party tool has the ability to display that.

I'm still hoping the poison vial icons will match their buff icons (or vis versa)
