I knew I should have looked closer at the actual stats for the proposed weapons changes...Had a few brawlers on test very upset that the fighting batons are now sta/int - definitely not monk brawler stats. The quarter staff is also an int weapon now - agi/int. This puts both of the stick-style weapons, which have an image of being monk-type weapons, rather firmly in the caster camp. The knotted club (str/sta) and club (str/sta/agi, same graphic as cudgel) are both fighter-type stats, but neither has that long, straight look that makes so many of the brawler attacks look so awesome.Short version, fighters have no 1HB staff-type weapon. It's all hammers or fists.I rec swapping the stats for the fighting baton with those for the knotted club. This will give the fighters a stick-style fighting weapon which is so near and dear to the hearts of many brawlers, while still leaving a wooden club and a straight staff in each camp. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing the quarter staff and club swapped either, but I understand people like to have a variety of choices in their looks.Honestly, the swaps I'd like to see are:fighting baton - from sta/int to str/sta/agiclub - from str/sta/agi to str/staknotted club - from str/sta to sta/intThis gives both the fighters and the casters a cudgel-graphic weapon and a staff-type weapon, and puts agi on the baton. Maybe it's just me, but the fighting style with a baton vs with a club just look like more agility is involved. And as long as we're talking about swapping stats, how about these two as well?wand - from wis/int to agi/int quarter staff - from agi/int to wis/intI can imagine a priestly type using a quarter staff, but the wand seems strictly mage-ish to me.Anyone else have any thoughts?

The only thing I agree with is that the Fighting Baton should be a STR/STA weapon...all other weapons look good stat wise...

Some of the new weapons do seem to have backwards stats/delays, id just feedback them and see what happens, hopefully someone decides to take a second look at them is all I can say..

Prior to this update, there was only 48 weapons (to include WW weapons), now there are 50 weapons for WS and 10 for WW. So, while a weapon you may be familiar with had a certain stat before, it may not afterwards, but there is a larger variety as well.

Of course...some may need adjustment but overall...all seem to be very well spread out to give good variety. Prior to this update you had only 48 total varieties, now...its at 120....so, yah...Weapon varietie doubled...

First Off I am very glad there are more combinations and weapons persay.

Lodrelhai wrote:

wand - from wis/int to agi/intquarter staff - from agi/int to wis/intI can imagine a priestly type using a quarter staff, but the wand seems strictly mage-ish to me.

OK Maybe I'm neive here, but WHY would a mage (int based caster) want agi? Wis while not the greatest stat atleast gives the person some resistance to spells, agi is only good if I'm being hit and well as a mage I don't wanna get hit. Just my point of view.

Last I heard, agility helps with focus and avoidance, good for the solo caster or the occasional grab of aggro at the wrong moment.I could be wrong on that, of course.

If memory serves, it's in the Village of Shin that one hears the explanation of the quarter staff being so good for monks, as they can use it to work, with the staff over the shoulders to carry two pails or bags, but if attacked, it becomes a weapon. On that basis, the quarter-staff should definitely have stats designed for brawlers.

Yes we need more quarterstaffs/bo staffs the 2 handers not the one handers.

On that same note, I'm wondering why the Karabela got changed from a 1hp weapon to a 1hs.

If the only issue with a total revamp of all player made weapons in the game is purely cosmetic, I say good job Domino.
