Are the troub power drains going to be changed to damage like the enchanters?

An important question. If power drains are useless for enchanters and need to be replaced for them, then they're useless for <b><i>everyone</i></b> and need to be replaced for everyone. Also, effects like "X% of target's power consumed will also be drained from target's health" seem to be pretty useless as well. Checking ACT on my troubador alt's last run, over 70 solo fights in Loping Plains.... Lore's Euphistic Romp did 1.2 DPS (0.25% of zonewide) despite being my 1st heroic opportunity trigger on every fight. The only things parsing lower were Round Bash and Tundra Slam (barbarian racial melee stun)... but that's because I used those in only 2 of the 70 fights. How about something better to replace those useless effects, also, since it seems mobs don't use appreciable amounts of power even when they do use it?
I hope so as well. It seems to makes sense that if SoE is acknowledging that power drains aren't a function worth having for an enchanter, they shouldn't be for any other class. Which pretty much just means troubs, as far as I know.Dirges get lifetaps, while troubs get power drains/taps. I can't help but think this is the single biggest reason you see twice as many dirges as troubadors. A lifetap is useful, especially when trying to solo, while as a power drain/tap means very little. Arguably nothing, solo, since you're not going to live long enough to run out of power as a troub solo.
