um, seriously. I think you need to work on your cast rotation or something. Wizard in the MT group? why? As far as 6th on the list dps-wise, I'm sorry but we are not. Bolt of Ice on a Ball of Magma recast timer? LOL though that would be awesome, it would also be rediculously overpowered.I'm sorry but I cannot agree with any part of your post and I consider the whole thing rather dumb. Take effort and learn to use your wizard. You'd be surprised. There is no "I win" button, and i prefer there not to ever be.

Good day, Wizards, and to those that love them!

While I can understand, on some level, the OP's points about being a supplemental class, I would like to respectfully disagree. Now, as I have not achieved the lofty levels of most of the responders here... as a matter of fact, I have just 'dinged' 43... I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying being a wizzie. So much so that I have turned off adventure xp and am having the other experience gainers moving my yellow bar.

True, if you solo it is a steep learning curve that lies ahead of you, but in a group a little common sense and some preparations (gear v spell selection) will do a world of good.

I will leave you with my own favorite anecdote; While grouping through an instance with a Guardian, Monk (or bruiser, I forget), an Illusionist, Mystic (mentored), and a Warlock all of approximately the same level, everytime the parser was used there was my name at the very top, or a very very close second. It was a wonderful experience.

Lady Uaelrea, I do hope that you find a place where you feel your wizard is a valuable and welcome addition to any gathering.

Enjoy!

yea you did totally redo your post, lol.well since you are asking a definite question I will give the answer....1) It crits2) Mythical (+10% base)3) Bloodthirsty choker ( 10% base)4) troub with mythical (10% base)5) around 2K +spelldamage with gear procs runnin6) Dark orb of the mind ( 10% base)7) Freehand Sorcery (24% base) Master spells9) raid doin proper debuffsThat is how wizards do that. As you can see, you'll need to invest -alot- of time and patience to get the proper gear, the best spells, and a solid group of people behind you before you'll see those numbers. Hard work pays off. The Wizard is my absolute favorite class, for many reasons.

Now you understand ? less than 10 percent of the players can do that. (I would say 5 percent is probably more exact) Those who play enough to be able to :

run Vault 50 times (P's guard),

kill the shark 20 times (symbol of the eaten),

run thru Shard of Fear 50 times (choker and robe of alendine)

AND member of a guild who can both get the contested named AND enter VP.

If you want to be an uber damager, there is a price to pay : TIME.Of course if you are really very very lucky, you can get the 3 first one in one week... but I also met a guy who got the P's guard at his 70th run <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />and there are generally less than 10 guilds/server who can enter VP. That's 200 players max IMO. Maybe 15 wizards amongst them ?
