Cant get past character select

<p>My game updates ok and I can get into character select, but when I start to login in a character it just hangs at receiving zone info.. then sometimes at loading UI settings.  It doesnt happen on all characters and it only started yesterday, just suddenly.</p><p> Can anyone help?  I have tried the usual things, ie, drivers, windows updates, full file scans, deleting UI/cache/etc settings and re updating.</p><p> edit: seems to only be happening with characters in one of the Kunark Zones</p>

<p>Glad to hear I'm not the only one having this problem. The three times I've tried to log in, it hangs up at loading UI settings. And he's not in Kunark...he's out and about in the Commonlands.</p>

 It has been happening for 3 days off and on for me. You are not the only one having this issue, it seems to be widespread.  I did the same things as you at first checked ISP drivers firewall etc. Then I contacted sony for them to tell me to do the same thing.  Yesterday evening I was lucky it started working and lasted for quite a few hours, but today it is loading to caching appearance and then boom back to desktop with no error. This is also happening in Star wars Galaxies for me as well.  I am told they have put a block on a number of Ip addresses. This is ridiculous, plenty of us are complaining to no avail.  They keep blaming ISP, drivers, firewall etc.
