Ok i am a Lvl 79 SK, I started this character as a Paly but then Betrayed around Lvl 25 to a SK. Now that im up higher im wondering If Paly's are really better than SK's.When it comes to soloing, Raids and Groups which one do you all think performs better. And if i where to betray back to a Paly what do i lose as a Sk besides my spells and such. Like my class hat-would i have to do this quest over?Just wondering. Thanks

I'm a paladin, I wouldn't make stuff up!

And no, you wouldn't have to do Hoo'loo quest again to get a paladin hat. You'll have to troll constantly for a dropped hat because your character has already done Hoo'loos quest and can't get it agian. No he won't trade your hat in for your new class either.

The 2 SK's in my guild, are very good, they have better gear then i do, but they top the parse in the 5 with all classes in a raid. They are specced DPS and can't off tank, but your a crusader, tank or dps, when you try to mix, you lose something... it's a vague question, but Paladins/sk's are just how you want to play your class I think. I wouldn't betray either one of these classes, they are both fairly easy to solo through 80.

At 80 when/if you want to tank groups with level 80/140 dps classes you will find it a world of pain as a SK - offensive stance and the mobs slice you up (and you might as well get a rogue to tank), defensive and you lose aggro

As a Paladin aggro is comparitively much easier, especially when comparing both SK/Paladin in defensive mode (for the hardest fights). You can swap in +defence +parry gear and still hold aggro, as a SK I found I had to keep more of a dps focus.

Soloing/Duoing/self healing SK >> Paladin (I miss Reaver). You might miss Fakedeath (depending on whether you are a high level tinker or not).

Reputation - most people still playing SKs as a main are either soloers, masochists (sadists to their groups) or incompetent, I haven't grouped with an exception to that rule in months. Raiding, and you've got a better chance as a Paladin (decent to great OT) vs SK - substandard dps.

I betrayed to SK at 46 (when the cap was 60), mainly as my guild at the time was full of paladins and it meant I could get some alt loot. Back to Paladin at 78 after losing aggro to my boxed dirge You lose all spells and need to inspect each piece of your armour to make sure it is wearable (All, Fighter or Paladin basically). If wearing something like Ho'Loo's hat (appearance slot only at level 80 I hope), keep in mind Vaults of El'Erad (barren sky) is soloable at 80 if you really must have seagull wings.

our guild rolls with an SK offtank when I'm not able to go...which is quite often. He does very well. in the end its about having the right buffs for your toon, knowing your class and its capabilities. I personally prefer paladins, but i'm biased =)
