I'm still kind of a new player and have recently joined a guild. The other night i asked in guild chat a question about a quest I was doing in Nektulos Forrest and a member of the guild says "[Removed for Content]". So now I'm thinking...[Removed for Content], isn't this why I don't like the whole mm part of mmorpg. Man, I'm thinking...I was doing writs and getting sp for this guild and I get treated like that?So I ask, is it possible to just create my own guild and lvl it up with my main and alts? cause...I just want to be alone! In my own fantasy without having to worry about getting kicked from the guild if I should say something that may hurt someones feelings next time.

I level it via status items writs and raid mob kills when i do pick up raids on my alts.

Yeah, just get some people to help you start it. You need a full group of people and for all of them to be in the same zone in order to start a guild, in case you don't know. You might have to beg, borrow, steal, bribe, blackmail, or otherwise manipulate some volunteers to help you, but that shouldn't be much of a problem. Also, don't forget to get one of them to invite your alts before they leave.

Where as in most guilds, you have people that will group with you in a heart beat (Strong emphasis on MOST). So while its cool to have your own guild... you will be missen out on the help and companionship that you get from most guilds.

You need six to make a guild. You need to find five other people to sign up with you. You need to make one of them a leader, you can be a leader too. The other leader has to invite all your alts as you log them in one at a time. Then when you're done you have to either kick everyone else or they have to leave of their own accord.

Technically during this bit that other leader could kick you and abscond with the guild but it's not very expensive so he wouldn't be accomplishing much except getting the name.

You will find it very difficult to level the guild to a high level on your own. You can do all the HQs on all your alts and you'll still be under level 10. You can grind writs but it is very slow going alone.

The benefits include at least a small guild bank though, which is worth the cost of making the guild.

Absolutely. My 5 Test gals have their own guild which is currently level 17. Go for it if that's what works for you.Hardest part is getting 5 others to help you form the guild (gotta show up at the registrar's office with 6 people). You can do an /OOC and probably get 5 unguilded who will help you form the guild then leave. Good luck to you.

It can definitely be done, and if you do alot of writs you will level. Yes, getting the group together isn't that easy, but if you plan it for the early evening, you'll have an easier time. Don't spam chat with your request, but just make it known that you need a temp group to get a guild going. Ask if anyone has any unguilded alts. Make sure you go to all of the channels, even the ones you lvl'd out of. And who knows.... maybe once you've gotten the hang of it for a bit, you might feel like recruiting. As the leader of the guild, if someone drops the F bomb on you in chat just because you ask a simple question about a quest... you can give them the boot. You can choose your family, so to speak.

You dont have to give someone leadership to invite your alts, just give them recruiting permission. Also if you use a custom UI, when you start the guild some UI's mess up the Guild starter page and you cant put the name in for some reason. So i suggest you have the Default UI running on the alt you start the guild with.

Another suggestion if you are really getting fed up, start playing on the Test Server. Most of the time there is under 50 players on the whole server and if your a night owl you'll see it drop to about 15 But be warned if you do that, with so few players on the server there is not alot on the Broker so you'll have to rely on yourself alot. But with that said, the test community is the best i've seen in all my playing.

I have my own guild which is just me, my girlfriend and one other friends alt.

Eventually i'd like to open it up and recruit once it hits 30, currently only 14, but theres hurry and no pressure to grind unless i want too. But its nice to be able to earn guild status for yourself rather than someone elses guild.

Ive also started dual boxing which opens up abit more content than you would be able to do just soloing alone and makes you tha much more independant if you odnt want to group.

As a side note, if this is all because your current guild is acting like that you might just want to look for another guild. There's a lot of variety and there ARE some pretty nice people out there. The hard part is finding them.

Most, not all, guildies get along pretty well with each other. There are so many guilds probably on your server that it should be fairly easy to find one that does not have issues like that.

Awesome, thanks for the help. One other concern is the amount of time it takes for 1 player alone to level their guild. is it gonna take forever to get to say...lvl 30? compared to a typical guild with several active players.

Let me know how it gets on!I am planning on making my own crafting guild with my boyfriend (the only bit of EQ2 he likes..oddly enough, as he plays EvE), we arent worried about levelling it too fast, as I have 2 accounts with max active chars, so it is more of a slow and steady pace
