<p>ok here's the problem! up untill sunday everything appeared to be fine, come monday I found that my usb keyboard which was plugged in near my speedtouch modem ad stopped working! didn;t think much of it connected to the net fine using the speedtouch and can surf with no problems! however as I play everquest2 most afternoons I was on there for about 2hrs and I noticed my ping rate went through the roof and I was booted out, at that time I noticed the left hand light (usb) was flashing between red and green! I also lost any use of the net ie no web pages would load email wouldn't connect etc! so I rebooted and was ok about an hr later it did the same thing again! I've used avg which found a psyme virus which it deleted but still the same thing is happening almost at the same time for the last few days! I've tried a system restore to a point which was 11 days ago and still I get this red light business! the odd things I've also found is that 1. it only seems to do it in everquest2 and 2. every other boot up when I look in network connections it appears that the firewall has gone from my connection even though under firewall settings it says it's active, it's not showing up under the connection!any one got any ideas on what this is? is it a case of the modem is dying? I've been using it for roughly 4yrs and had no problems till now but I can use IE without this happening at least it seems that way so far! any ideas would be welcome as I'm not sure what to do is it a case of a problem my end or is it something to do with everquest2?</p><p>I'm running winXP with sp2 and all the updates I've been running eq2 in the same way for almost 4years so it seems to me that it must be eq2???</p>
