75% of qeynos are swashbucklers now it seems...Why? Because people can win with little to no effort and their dps alone is enough to kill any healers with no challenge let alone with them being unable to get a root or heal off in time. The few classes they can't kill they just avoid ie bezerkers (who arent out solo anyways)Remove the interupt from the stance and make them use some skill and timing rather than being able to mash buttons to win. Maybe give them more combat arts with interupts. This will promote more skillful pvp and deter people who want to gank brainlessly which fustrates the majority of the userbase. This will deter all the people who have shelved mains to play swash for the easy life and maybe classes will become more balanced yet again. Why do swash do 50% more dps than brigands in pvp groups? Why do they often match the dps of a warlock in PvP 6v6? The interupts and aoe dps and high dps with track and evac is far too great a selling point for the class at present. A group with 3 swashbucklers can often defeat a well balanced group as opponents which just is not right.Discuss.
cry me a.... well... try and face brigand, brigand is much deadlier gank class

Brigs don't do less than Swash, on average. We're both equal classes, barring the stun advantage they get, and in group PvP, that pretty much doen't matter. Ask to hit one with the nerf bat, hit both. Saying that one is tougher than the other is pretty much BS. Just depends on which side of the fence you're on. And just as an FYI, if I were a Dev, I'd nerf both of them. As far as 75% ... nah. Just seems that way. Check the big guilds, check their T8 population. Homicide 121 level 70 or higher, there are 14 Swashies in that category. Not sure how many of those have been on in the last month, but that's more like 11.5%, not 75%. Exodus, 147 level 70 or higher, with 18 Swashies. 12.24%. Check the numbers for Brigs in a couple of the larger FP guilds.

I'd love to argue that point, but it seems that you're dead on. I've seen a lot of Q's exile over the last month or two, but there's a ton of Freeps that I just don't see anymore. Yo, Devs, open up the gates to Haven! And keep 'em all FFA like in the field! And while you're at it, throw in a PvP Writ giver near the exit. And a revive spot, too, with FP's on one side and Q's on the other.

I wonder if those players will be heading back to FP after getting their Mythicals?

Bah, this already looks set to become another Freeport versus Qeynos thread, but regardless, Brigands share this stance with Swashbucklers. Therefore this would affect both classes.

Personnaly, I believe this would be a step to bringing these classes more in-line with other classes, but I'm not sure this is the way to go about it. If I die to swashies (and before you say I'm only talking about Qeynos classes, sorry, I fight swashies a ton more than brigs) its because I'm dead before I can cast a spell, or because by the time I land a mezz, I'm already at 10-30% health. Couple that with being a Coercer who has to get hit to do any decent damage= reason swashies can beat me.

You can counter a brigand using certain strategies to a degree. Fought kaimera other day and was a decent fight unlike fights vs most swashies which are over in seconds sometimes. I know kaimera is a very good player from his freeport days but you can pot stuns so they loose a lot of dps, you can remove dispatch also rendering their dps more managable. Basically if a brigand looses positionals it isn't easy for them. It's still a ridiculously hard fight so that's why I mentioned the stance which will affect BOTH classes.A swash is a lot less complicated/brainless class to achieve victory compared to a brigand. Autoattack and interupts lets them win combined with reach. They really don't have to do much at all, they don't need to get round your back, they can just jump all over you and hit all their CA's combined with the stance interupts to win. This is why a huge amount of them are actively PvPing at present.I feel that removing the interupt component of the stance would help rebalance the dominant class in the game. Good players will still do excellent. Bad players will not win every single fight by hitting a macro with all their combat arts. Timing will be needed. Gameplay will be richer and more satisfying for both parties.Would be nice if you lost by making a mistake rather than fighting the wrong class.
