I am experimenting with several classes to find my niche. I am a WoW refuge who played a mage to 62, but I gave up on her for one reason and one reason only. It went like this: nuke and nuke, dead mob, repeat. Then sit for 30 seconds and drink. I simply got tired of sitting there drinking literally after 2 kills (maybe 3 if I got crits). Are wizards in this game like that? I don't mind an occasional refreshment, but not every other mob.

The next thing I wonder about is if you are pretty much a gonner if the mob gets to you with a lot of health left and starts whacking your little cloth wearing self. I hear they are quite "squishy". I don't mind an occasional death, as long as it doesn't become a habit. lol

Also, would making her (Arasai) an alchemist be a good idea? I already have a toon with sage, so spells are covered. If not, what would you suggest for a tradskill?

Thank you very much for helping this newbie. BTW, I love the game, and the community is awesome.

Nah its not that bad, mostly. Regen is pretty quick. I dont have to stop to regen power very often, more often I need to regen health but even so, not that much. With most fights I can take a few hits while I reapply root, but if its a very strong heroic I might take enough damage before getting it back under control that Ill just choose to run. I dont often die soloing unless I get stunned by multiple mobs as Im running. This is from a 62 wiz. It might change at higher levels.
