found launchpad - game is showing 24 hrs + to download? there's got to be a faster digital download?

same as title, its showing 24 hours or more to download. i know its a big game but ive got a new computer and highspeed internet.  it shouldnt take so long should it? is there a trick to this?

<p>Initially the download estimated time to completion is way out.</p><p>As the download progresses youll find the time will shorten. Probably to a time frame of couple of hours.</p><p>I try to make backups of the larger files like the music and pak files and also my ui settings so if I need to do a reinstall or whatever im not wasting huge amounts of time downloading them again or mucking about setting up all the in game windows!</p>

When I had to reinstall the game after buying a new PC the download took 13 hours on a cable connection.

it is the same thing that hit me when i initially downloaded the RoK expansion on the old computer. its the vpk files that seem to take forever to download. who knew a little bit of dialogue was so huge of a file. ive got a brand new computer and a cable highspeed dedicated internet connection, yet it seems like walking to the SOE offices to pick up a hard copy of the CD roms would be faster at this point.  i can download entire music albums in mere seconds but a few lines of "save us from the gnoll king" takes 34 hours. too bad theres not a way to just not get the voice packs and play without the vocal stylings of random NPC's. it really is a minor touch to the game and hardly necessary. oh well, guess i cant play. silly me bought a 2nd account so i could two-box finally though the first few days of my one-month subscription free with purchas of all-in-one is unuseable. suppose ill rewatch all 3 indiana jones movies so when part 4 comes out ill be all caught up.
