Am I missing something about this new spell? So it increases the mitigation debuff amount of one ally? What intelectually challenged person thought this one up? This is so useless compared to the other new spells and definately NOT in line with what a Brigand is all about. Brigands are thugs and highwaymen, selfish by nature. I would describe Brig combat as "cripple the sucker then kick 'em while they're down". The perfect example this comes when you compare our agro-control buff to that of our counterpart (swash). Theirs transers a portion of hate to the target (tank) helping the entire group/raid. Ours just procs de-agro for us. This is perfectly in line with the class i.e. "I don't care who you beat on, as long as it's not me". I suppose this may be better than it seems up front but it still isn't a good fit for the class. I would really like to hear what other Brigands think about this.

Actually that was the first thing I did. After reading a few dozen threads where it was mentioned in passing and where none contained information showing it to be worthwhile I decided to ask other Brigands. You are worthless since you have nothing constructive or even pertinent to say. Now run along, get under your bridge and shut your mouth, Troll.

The general agreement between brigands is.....meh, whatever

(in other words it's nothin to cheer about, but definately not completely useless)

Thank you Spin, that was the exact reason for my heated response to the troll. If you don't have anything constructive to add to the conversation, stay out of it.

I had already read that post and what I got from it was that it is mildly useful in raids. That's it, completely useless solo, still useless in groups. So we got a new spell that is mildly useful ONLY in end-game raiding which what, maybe 5% of the playerbase do on a regular basis. This seems pretty ridiculous to me. As a point of comparison the new spells that my other characters are getting are actually useful;

Inquisitor - A much needed new heal spell (aoe heal centered on mob)

Berserker - A short term buff that reduces all damage by 50% (very nice emergency ability)

Necro - A limited pet that life drains nearby mobs and heals the necro

All of these are very useful in at least one type of play (solo/heroic/raid) and ALSO useful in the other types, not as much but still useful.

That sort of thing is not encouraged on EQ2flames. What you are encouraged to do is to deal in facts, because it's your only safety. Not going there for fear of flames dooms you to the bad information found here.

I was pretty excited to get a buff for someone else, makes me feel more useful in groups, most everything we do is only for us which is why we always get thrown in the group that has open spots still in the raid. But I would trade it for a hate transfer any day no questions asked!

And just for the record, I cant got to eq2flames from work so I am encouraging everyone to stay here!
