Are there any suits of master crafted armor worth getting for a SK? I just hit 80, and seem to still be in a suit of the level 72 master crafted. I really hate to let go of all the spell damage bonus'. I am main tank most of the time in my guild. I am not a huge raider, and when I have, I don't seem to have the luck of getting good drops.Any suggestions on what to look for? I am more then capable of getting a single group together and running quests. On weapons, I am working on the spine of skorpisis, and am about half way through my epic.

Devout is really pretty sharp for SK, but doesn't have the Mit you need long term for tanking. A mix of devout and sanctified works- you can get sanctified through instance runs without raiding. Get a good shield- the Elite Targ Shield is nice for SK. Jade Reaver is a good weapon for SK, from City of Mist.

Just run the instances as much as you can, CoA, Voes, Chelsith, Maidens and CoK. You'll end up replacing your gear in no time. (If your time is limited each night, I would suggest trying to do that order, aranged in most drops relative to time it takes).

The lvl 77 mastercrafted armor (Di'Zok Emblazoned, I think) is decent stuff. I'm 80 and still wearing alot of it.

Work, kids, wife, kids homework, sports, church, etc. I am lucky to play on the weekends. So I do try to pick my time well. That is why we play together (RL friends and family), everyone is out of town, state, and have kids. How we all keep in touch. We have been playing since launch, and just hit 80 last weekend. For a weekend only 4-5 hour run. What do you suggest?Thank you in advance.

Vaults and CoA can both be 4-manned by a good group. CoA is sort of a fall back- it's easy, has 8 bosses, and exquisite sometimes drop, but you wear out the loot tables in a hurry. Maidens is the most challenging, and has some really nice loot. If you don't have a mezzer you can hit CoA then Chelsith. A pet puller is recommended for the uberblob.

I understand Itemization is messed up right, but you can't try to gear up like a warrior because you're gimping your DPS. If you're looking for mostly tanking gear, then try to round up Santification pieces. Spell Damage and INT are still very important and help tremendously with aggro. In the mean while, try to have either a Dirge, Enchanter (for STUN, unless there's a bad multi encounter pull made), Brawler or second healer to cut down the damage you take. Also, what's this about having a mezzer for VoES? The whole reason an SK tank is superior to a Guardian in that zone is because all the multi mob encounters. Death March, Tap Veins, Hammer Ground, ever heard of them? Pull smartly and your group will be amazed on easily the multi links go down.

PS: Not to mention in VoES many of the Skellies are unmezzable, so you'd be getting your group killed trying to stop AoEs for mezz and the unmezzable is running around owning everyone.

It's needed for the last boss in vaults, who has two adds who heal him if they aren't mezzed. Killing them doesn't work because they respawn instantly.

Mezzer isn't even needed for that... Just assign someone to root the adds. Most groups will have a couple of people with root and the adds walk very slow.

(I entered a bug on the Devout's mod bonus, +3 ministration, as the tier 7 Devout had +disruption. I'm pretty sure the ministration mod was meant for the Righteous set.) I personally think the Devout set is slightly better then Di'zok but I'll be getting both and doing some parsing. On my server all the pieces for both sets were 1p or under except for the Di'zok chest which was 2p.

Definitely grab the two level 77 MC'd charm slot items. They are excellent but also cost more.
