There are several security settings that come installed with Windows Vista that we will need to modify to allow your game to run without interference. Please make sure you do all of the following steps. Section One: Running as Administrator 1. Right click on the game's icon and go to properties 2. Go to the compatibility tab 3. Click on "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select XP Service Pack 2 4. Check "Run this program as administrator" 5. Click Apply 6. Right Click on the game's icon once again 7. Click "Run as Administrator"

Section Two: Working Around the User Access Control (UAC) 1. Make sure you are logged in on an Administrator account. 2. Navigate to the game's folder (Usually c:program filessony will contain the game's folder) 3. Right click on the game's folder and go to properties 4. Click on the Security Tab 5. Click on the Edit button. 6. Go through each username or group listed and make sure all "Allow" boxes are checked 7. Ensure that no "Deny" boxes are checked and click OK. After these steps, if you are still getting a Download Cancelled error in your game's Launchpad on Windows Vista, please refer to the article Contacting Tech Support for further assistance.

What video card and driver are you using? This is a crash caused by the card messing up trying to create a particle effect or a texture or something along those lines.

I'd say uninstall that driver, run a driver cleaner to be sure you've gotten all of it, and then reinstall it.. Not much I can say about this one, also make sure you're not running anything in the background.

DId you put the /3GB switch in your boot.ini file because of their client change? If you did, remove it. I tried that switch and I got that. When I removed it - problem solved.

If I'm not mistaken, that switch was mentioned in the LU #44 notes and as stated, sounded like it could be used with 32 bit XP. My advice - don't bother. I have 3GB of RAM but that switch causes issues. Anyway, something to try if you added that switch.

Genen
