Low FPS on all resolutions

<p>I have just returned to eq after a few months break, and am experiencing really low FPS 5-6 at all resolutions and all graphical settings. This was not happening when i previously played the game and i have not changed any hardware.</p><p> I have an :-</p><p>AMD FX60, 2Gb ram and a 7950GTX. with the latest drivers.</p><p>I am not experiencing any issues in other games i am currently playing </p><p>any ideas pls?</p>

<p>Don't use flora, turn it completely off. </p><p>Turn off shadows, but you can keep the basic shadows of trees etc..etc. (Lighting also effects shadow quality) but dont use character, environment, torch, etc.. (other shadows)</p><p>Lower your texture resolutions (don't use maximum, especially for character models).</p><p>Resolutions don't seem to effect the FPS , neither does putting it in windowed mode. (Its best to put to your maximum resolutions - for best visual crispness)</p><p>to get 5 to 8 more FPS easy - Dont use a torch! (turn off all torch intensity lighting)</p><p>Try not to use question helper (the long beam of light) it causes more gpu usage</p>
