Many people cannot login the game, there are something wrong with their programe.

I got the same login problem by the stupid patch on 17/4.

What they help is ask you to turn off firewall (it doesn't help actually), uninstall anti virus software (isn't it a little bit no sense? Anyway i tried, but not work again), reinstall the game (Ok...not work again), run the game on windows xp (man, my OS is already windows xp)

Take a look at "Technical Help and Questions" before you buy this game.

Now, i need to consider to stop my subscription....

Posting this does absolutely no good here. Keep these issues in the technical forums...Only a few people are having issues and the Techies are working to get them back in. Many are back in.Also, a side note, Both the Firewall and AV programs STILL can cause issues even when turned off...just to let you know... so their advice on what to try is not out in totally left field as you think it is.I wish you luck finding a game that never has technical issues with thousand upon thousands of different computers and ISP's all over the world.... *wink*

Actually, by bringing your technical issues in the newbie forum, you show new people that the techies are working hard and have gotten many of the people back into game....Only a few people have had these issues, not that many when compared to the amount of subs. I am in game perfectly fine and have been...It would be better to see what is the common factor in this with those having issues... rather then starting flames... *wink*

Jason and the other helpful folks in the Technical Help and Questions forum are really good and they do their level best to get people help.Yes, it would be nice if everyone could have everything perfect instantly, but sometimes stuff breaks. It's the normal consequence of any software, and if you don't think it happens in other MMOs, think again. If you're that miserable, yes, maybe you want to quit now. Other problems will arise in the future and if this is snapping your one good nerve, consider how you will deal with future frustration. EverQuest is a living, changing system. Things are added and updated and tweaked, and sometimes we get a problem or two.

I think people who want to start this game should know this problem, or you think it is better to hide such problem?

The point everyone is trying to make is that this is not a common problem.Whilst it is highly regrettable that you are encountering this extremely annoying issue, it's pretty clear that the technical support team is doing their best to help you. They have to do these things by steps in order to get to the root of your problem. This is difficult even if sitting at your computer. Doing it remotely via a text based medium makes it doubly so.I hope your difficulty is resolved soon.

Issues such as you speak of are best handled in the tech forum and looked at by the techs. in reality, Very few people have problems logging into the game...And those that do have issues can be helped by techs...Many of those issues regarding logging in are due to the wide variety of computer configurations or computer incompatibilities with new technology.I have played this game since beta, in 2004 and I have never, ever had an issue starting this game.

Zero497 wrote:
I think people who want to start this game should know this problem, or you think it is better to hide such problem?
It is an issue that affects the majority of the game.. so no, I do not think that people that start the game need to know as it seems to only have affected a few when compared to those that log in fine. However, your link there in your first post shows an active Tech team trying to solve this issue so that those few that ARE affected can get in ASAP. I would suggest following what Dan says... as many of the people that originally posted in the thread have not posted in a while, which usually means that they are happy playing in game... most people post on the forums when either at work and can not play themselves.. or when they have issues... lolGet in contact with the Tech in the thread... you may be surprised....

So, most new people are on top of it already. The rest come to the newbie forum and post complaints about a downtime issue that has only occurred once this year so far.

The only problem I have is that you're stating that EVERYONE is going to have this problem while it only affects a very small number of the player base.

If you believe otherwise then you are trying to visit a world that does not exist. The number of people that cannot connect to the game as compared to the number of people that can are a very small percentile - and 99.9 percent of those that cannot connect the problem is in their configuration or in the restrictions that thier internet connection provider put on the use of their bandwidth.

No one is trying to hide it, but then again spreading FUD never helped anything or anybody.

You really should try to take some computer programing classes. Then maybe you will have some slight understanding As the poster above me stated, you will find that ANY program on a PC has the potential to have some sort of issue. Even if its only on 0.01% of the PC's out there, you will get a few angry people.
