Where are the servers?

<p>Hello, I'm extremely new to the 'new and improved' EQ2, but I've been playing MMO's since 1999 (EQ) and I figure there must be a reasonable explanation for this.</p><p> I've recently decided to start playing with a few new friends of mine, and of course this implies we all play on the same server. Well, I haven't had the time to skim through any news articles, and there may be a rule somewhere saying that I can't have access to the server their on, but either way I can't find it.</p><p> The server is Highkeep, and I imagine it may have been merged with another server, or maybe it's locked so I can't make a character on it (Be that the case, I'll be rather dissapointed.)</p><p>So, can anyone help? What happened to Highkeep?</p>

I am not positive but I believe highkeep got merged with butcherblock at one point.

<p>There is no "Highkeep" server in EQ2. It's possible that it was one of those that was merged at some point. Either that of perhaps they're actually playing EQ1? Have one of them check their character on the character select screen and see what the server name actually is there. </p><p>And for reference, EQ2 players has a<a href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/servers/index.vm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> list of all the servers </a>(even the international ones). If you can get the name of one of their characters you can also search for it on EQ2 Players and find their server that way.</p>

Highkeep was merged with Butcherblock, here is the<a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=267105" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> developer letter </a>posted Jan 2006. Scroll down to topic 3, it'll tell you what servers merged with what.
