Hey there,

I also have a Dell Vostro 1500 with EQ2 and to be honest I can play on the highest graphics settings with respectible frame rates (30+) in nearly every zone and raid in the high quality settings. I use it wireless as well as wired when I am on the road for work or at home. I use it to 2 box when I am bored and it really runs well.

I did have extra ram put in so it has 4 gig RAM and a Gforce 8600 card with 512 megs and a core duo processer at 2.3 ghz.

The OSI have is XP with sp2 ((I could not tell you which versian 32 bit or 64.) I do know it only sees 3.5 gig of RAM despite having 4 gig.

Could also be your router. I recently had router issues at home when I had to get the home networked ((how dare my wife try to boot me off the computer in the middle of a raid to do resarch for her degree heheh. )) The first router I tried was a netgear and could not stay connected to Everquest. Something about the software the netgear uses to connect ot the web and the software EQ uses to connect to the servers dont like each other very much.

I dont think there is any issues with Dlink and everquest. You might need to configure the router and your computer for security stuff ((keeps your wireless connection secure)).

I know there was a Vista issue with EQ2 a while ago but they have gotten the kinks worked out, i think.

You might also hear the EQ2 does not support routers, which they dont however they will try to provide information to help those that use them - if that makes sense.

Good luck. Hope you work it out.

You have to run the EQ2 programs as administrator....or turn off UAC (user account control)To run a program as administrator, right click on the program and select 'run as administrator'Also read this thread ...http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...?topic_id=43375
