Hello

I'm trying to clarify if you can do both sides of this Bloodline Chronicles Quest series ie - Hand of Marr & Brethren of Night, that is at the top of the river in Nek. Or if you can swap partway through

One side has a spell I want, and the other side has an item I want - hence my predicament

Have done a bit of searching around and have been getting some conflicting information. The below post says you can switch if your before a certain point in the series, however eq2wikia says that if you try and change you will become personna non grata with both sides of the river!

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=354333

Anyone able to clarify this for me?

a) Is it possible to swtch part way through?

b) Not possible at all

c) Possible to do both series at the end of each other - ie seqentially?

Cheers

This was in the last game update notes. Not sure it means you can switch or just if you got yourself not grata beforehand.

Betrayal is always an option. You gotta do that if you wanna get what you want from the other side.

Betray if you're stuck and can't advance or betray in general? Cause My evil did the good side (wanted the item) without betraying.

Gday

Not completely sure whats the process in switching sides (betraying?) from the Brethren to the Handof Marr

Atm the only person that will talk to me on the Hand of Marr is Investigator Dahno, who the last couple of times has given me the same quest to go and investigate Underrot Cvaes. Except for the Investigator, none of the other guys on this side with talk or sell to me yet, although it looks like Dahno will give me a new quest every day (72 mins?)

FYI on the Brethren side the only quest I have done is the "A Small Sampling" quest which I believe is the first in the 'evil' side series. I have no quests from this side open

I am just looking to do the first quest in the Hand of Marr series - "Missing Scouts", and then ideally I can switch/betray back to the Brethren of Night

Hopefully I can do this in both directions by repeating quests..?

CHeers

The good news is that the quest line does (or should) allow you to switch sides now. My dirge was stuck on the line due to faction switching since about a month after it launched, and she finished it last night. The bad news is that you cannot do the quest line for both sides. There are 11 quests in the BC series given by either the Hand of Marr or the Bretheren, and if you do a quest for one side, it's equivalent on the other side is no longer offered. So if you did the first Bretheren quest, you cannot do the first Hand of Marr quest, only the second. Not being able to get any quest at all from either side sounds like a bug, unless the optional intro series isn't optional after all. I always do the quests offered by the ring and crest, so I couldn't say. If you haven't done them already, try the quests D'Morte Burial Chambers and D'Morte Family Crest; outside possibility the quest-givers are waiting for you to progress the latter to the point you need to enter the Crypt of T'Haen. If that doesn't help, then a /bug report is definitely in order.
