<p>I set my hair colour to a very dark red, with no orange in it at all. Somehow, depending on my camera angle, it goes from dark red to orange red. I have tried this in different settings, different locations, different lighting. It actualy does not matter if my camera is far, or close. It seems to be from the top/side angle that this occurs.</p><p><a href="http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/Katariel/Hair-lighting2.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/Katariel/th_Hair-lighting2.jpg" alt="" width="28" height="30" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/Katariel/Hair-lighting.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn276/Katariel/th_Hair-lighting.jpg" alt="" width="28" height="30" border="0" /></a> </p><p> Kat : )</p>

I had this problem I think. Now, I'm going to no doubt himiliate myself when I try and remember the name of the setting...Speratic lighting? Spectoral lighting? Something like that anyway. Turn it on and your hair may change colour. Bit of a lag though...

Its Specular lighting, turn it off if you dont want your hair to change colors as much, on for a more realistic look. Light will still affect it but not as much, also the color of the lights around you will change the way it looks.
As said before its all about specular lighting. At some angles the highlights of specular are lost and colors revert back to flat. Take the same shot with four people standing around the subject holding torches and you will see a more uniformed color.
