Virtue's Guard - putting the tower vs buckler to bed forever

With Virtue's Guard, my displayed and uncontested avoidance is greater than with the Penitent Greatshield from Vaults(?) even thought the tower shield has 500 more Protection. Buckler line forever!

<p>that's fine and great and all but with tower spec i had 12% more block and 6% more avoidance with my Righteous Barrier of Devotion(not even one of the best towers available for block) than i have with virtues guard and buckler spec.</p><p>problem i had with tower is i noticed a good 15% loss to aggro or so, meaning i was doing that much less DPS.perhaps when i have another 30% extra DA to spare i will go back and try it but for now you are right, buckler is still superior to tower for us because if you can't hold aggro then you are worthless as a tank and currently we need all the aggro we can get. </p>

ya know, take into account how much the stamina line means to us for raiding and gouping you can easily see that we are broken.  shame that in order to be effective at what we are supposed to do we HAVE to take a specific aa path, and should we choose to go with another set up we get to watch people die.  i guess that means the break started with dof, kos gave us a band aid, but now thats not even enough in a lot of cases.

<p>Maybe its because my berserker (80) has never equipped anything but a buckler, but I always get a chuckle when I see a berserker im grouped with on my main wearing a Kite shield. Granted you can get some decent protection however, berserker's depend on DPS for threat control and you lose out FAR to much wearing anything but a buckler. Unfortunately, the number crunch says that to be at maximum potential in all area's (Threat control/Damage) they must be wearing a buckler. </p><p>Virtue's Guard is hot, which is clear evidence that SOE is going to keep this issue is on the backburner for awhile. </p>

Rest assured, you won't be needing your buckler as soon as 100% double attack is available to a kite/tower shield user. Althoigh, the 8% riposte rate will probably be missed.

<p>i looked around and i still can't imagine if you stacked DA on ever item you would be able to hit 100%DA without stamina line.</p>
