In a 1v1 duel with all pve survivability aside. Which one would you choose first?sailwind or reachI have about 40aa, can only get 1 for now and put the rest into something else.

Reach, without a doubt.

Sailwind would increase your DPS though

sailwind, you get more from the agi line then you would from reach. I love reach, but it can wait if you don't have a lot of AA's.

I went Sailwind then Reach. You get a ton of CA's as a Swash, this lets you reuse them so much faster.

You cannot rely on reach, although it is very very nice to have in duels. The reason is is because the layout of the duel area is out of your control, especially when fighting against guys with high resists who cannot be snared by you. So with this uncertainty its best to go Sailwind to get the extra dps.

But consider this... A guardian roots you in place in front of him so he can beat you to a pulp. This also roots him You could use the dark elf shadow jump ability (IF you're a dark elf) to get 10 m away and you will be able to hit him without him hitting you. IN such a case, reach is invaluable. BUT this situation doesnt happen much.

I thought we were just talking about end abilities, in which case I would still take reach over sailwind. If we are talking about AA lines then obviously Agility would be the first line to pick, well it was for me anyway. Followed be either strength or wisdom, actually I wouldn't take wisdom till you could fill it up.

That guy has only 400 AAs to spend, which means completing one AA line will cost him more than half his AA pull. So I would seriously consider what he gets in the AA line, not only the final AA Overall, agi line will bring more than reach. Sailwind is great, it's "general purpose", while reach is mainly useful against melee classes.

aaaaaw, they have 1v1 duels on Everfrost, how cute.

bluebie-knocking aside, consider that Reach only includes CAs, not AA damage.

I think you will find that it covers AA as well or it did the last time I looked, unless there was stealth nerf. With reach:CA 9m rangeAA 5m range

And Advance Warning is [I cannot control my vocabulary] handy too when mages could be critting you for 11k+ :O
