Maiden's Chamber (Scorpion Boss) 22k damage?

<p>I used cataclysmic mind (ad3) on scorpion boss tonight. Hit him for 22k damage. I died from aggro instantly. I tried again, figuring it was a fluke mistake... BAM 22k damage. Anyone else get this? I thought the spell was worthless and fodder for keeping Chrono up only. =p</p>

<p>only 22k? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />that's normal yup, he aoe's like hell too reactive trigger a lot on him. i get sometimes like 3.4k dps on him.with a cata hit of like 25k-28k or so.</p><p>and he is the second named in rok that uses that much power . the other one is sandstorm.Anyway happy that the spell get changed and is a actuall use on more then 2 named in rok hehe.</p>

He actually uses power and is the only reason I got Master I for CM *laugh*.

Bah...my coercer is only level 40 and I constantly use this spell and have never seen any results.  You mean to tell me there are basically NO MOBS in the game that use power....yet we have a spell that turns their power usage into damage?

I took it off my hotbars for a couple of weeks... dps went down on average. Put it back into the rotation, dps perked up a bit. The problem is it's highly situational as far as I can see. Anyhow, this issue is getting looked at by Aeralik at the moment so no need to get too ruffled... with any luck it might be a non-issue by LU45.</p>
