I think they should add in the ability to place the house vault boxes in the house so that only you can access it. Just like the broker boxes.

I wasn't aware other people could access your house vault regardless of visitor status.

They can't. Either the OP is confused, or they were misunderstood.

In case it was confusion: When you go into another person's house...you are still only accessing YOUR house vault. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src=" width="15" height="15" />

In case the OP was misunderstood: Vault boxes placed in the house (if the OP's idea were made real) would only be accessible to the owner of the home.

If I am reading it right I think he wants to actually place the vault box like a piece of furniture similar to broker boxes.

Sorry if I was unclear

What I mean is I want to be able to right click on the boxes in my house vault and place them on the floor next to my crafting tables. Then I should be able to click on them and get something out of it right there.

more clear?

The simple solution to this is, buy an extra market board place it near your crafting station. You can access house vault and vendor slots from the board!

~Kakra

I actually raised this as a possibility, but in relation to another aspect. At the moment we have the rare wood strong-boxes that increase the slots up to the next tier.... until we get to tier 8, when the box sizing gets stressed to the limit, and there is no point in having the rare version.

How about the rare wood strongboxes, if placed in the house-vault, are then placeable (like broker crates)? Common wood versions are vault only, but the rares get a placeable appearance if you wish to do so. Make that house-owner only for access, but allow the usual bag/box naming to affect the tooltip when the cursor goes over the placed box, so we could have one marked 'Wardrobe', or 'Seasonal Decorations' etc.

Also, not sure if it would work, but Trustees of the house could place their own too, in which case it would be marked as '[Trustee's name]'s Wardrobe' , or whatever name they'd provided - and accessable only by the trustee.

Yours,

Ann-Marie

As has always been my stance.. adapt to the game; don't ask the designers to adapt the game to your personal routines.

I liked how SWG (another SoE game, so they've done it before) designed the crafting stations to be stockable with ingredients. It'd be nice if crafting stations placed in your house could do the same. Or at least include items in your house vault as being considered part of your inventory for crafting purposes while crafting within your house.

Karlen@Befallen wrote:
You can also access your house vault from anywhere in your house using /house.
It turns out that only works for the owner of the house. For some reason, Trustees don't get the "House Vault" button. But Trustees can right click the door or any merchant board and get the "access house vault" option, which actually opens up the vault back in their own house. I have a lot of trustees that share my crafting basement in a mansion owned by my lowbie selling alt, so I have merchant boards scattered everywhere, including over every crafting table. And they all have a 4-slot house somewhere (where they don't usually pay the rent! ) so they each have their own house vault and 4 "sales" slots to put lots of crafting materials in.
