my pretty hair

<p>i recently used one of the "magic mirrors" that came in the 3 year veteran reward to redo my hair. in the charachter select screen things look like i put them. when i log in my hair is a diffrent color than what i made it .</p><p>specificaly, i made my hair bright red with black highlights and in game the hair is pure black.</p><p> any ideas on what went wrong and how i can fix it? ?bug didnt really seem to get any results.</p><p> thanks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

The graphics settings and lighting are different between the character select and the main game so you may need to try a few times with the barber to get it right.

Also check to see if you have your "alternate models" turned on or off. Interestingly, people see you based on whether they have their "alternate models" turned on or off too. I was surprised once when someone insisted that I had a white mohawk, not short cropped dark hair!

<p>I also found out the silly way. A friend insisted I had a "shower cap"on my head, while I could clearly see two braids on my screen. It wasn't until I realized that I had the Soga models turned on and looked at my gosh-awful flowered "shower cap" that I realized what they were seeing.</p><p> What a laugh!</p><p>Kat : )</p>

ok thanks for the tips, ill root around in my settings when i get out of work, worse comes to worst ill see the barber... any ideas where that is in qeynos?

The barber is in North Qeynos I believe, above the jeweler.

I went in and made the soga look. Even though I hated it. XD That way at least people with those models would see how I mostly wanted my character to look.
