<p>Hi,</p><p>I just wanted to ask if we can have confimation from a dev/gm that this forum section is read?  Trouble is there are some good ideas in this forum, and some valid points but I never see anything posted.  Just feels somtimes that you can post in here to get somthing off your chest but it will never be listened to or acted upon.</p><p>To be honest I would really like you to look at the Paladin class somtime and try balance it better with other tanks.  </p><p>My main concearn is T8 to be honest and a few broken things that T8 has brought with it.  There is very little linked mob content in ROK expecially in raids, this means that where we could get trample to increase our dps its not there now.  To do decent dps you either have to have your mythical or a 2 hander, and tbh were tanks so you have to have some fancy switching if you get agro and have a 2h.  TBH we need double attack when using a 1h, somwhere this could do with being added, either as a group buff on the wis line or on the str line instead of haste, why instead of haste? Well to be honest its really really easy to get haste from group / raid buffs, DA is much harder to come by and therefore much more desirable.</p><p>Another broken thing is divine aura, its useless in T2 ROK raids and above, as our only "ooh no" spell it takes too long to cast and is useless when you do manage to cast it.  This should be seen as a CA, should cast in 0.5 seconds, last 10 seconds and defend for more than it does.  Recast should also be somthing like 3 mins, 10 mins is too long and pointless.</p><p>Divine favour, broken since conception, may as well be changed to somthing different, another "oooh no" ability would be nice, somthing that up's shield block by somthing % for 10 seconds or somthing?</p><p>WIS line in general, completely naff to be honest, needs everything upping from what it is now, make it a real desirable group line.  Some ideas would be , combat leadership - with 8 points = +10% DA for group, Battel leadership make it more than it is as it doesnt buff for enough now and add agression.  Aura of leadership, make it include power regen as well the HP on its own is useless.  Fearless moral up it to 4% or change it so that it buffs the groups melle,spell,heal crit by 4%.</p><p>Fabled weap - reduce the wis and put it on the other stats, we have enough wis on our def stance.  Change the proc to include ca's and ignore caps. Add shield block.</p><p>Mythical weap - reduce the wis and put it on other stats, change the proc to include ca's and ignore caps.  Make the pet do more and stop this resist nonsense, its a pet that is being summoned not a spell to be resisted stop me haveing to cast it 3 times to get it to stick and add the ability to stop aoe's, reduce its time to 10 seconds or somthing to implement this.  Add shield block, and add a clicky that converts trample to double attack untill cancelled.  change the +100ca damage to somthing usefull like +8DA, people who can own this weapon are at cap for ca damage.  NB do not under any circumstances change the 10% less damage 10% heal, this is the best part about this weap.</p><p>Agi line - change the +def to +shield block or +parry, +16def is a bit naff tbh, give people more choice in these aa's </p><p>Def stance - add parry to this to be in line with warriors def stances.</p><p>Paladins Heals - Cost too much power, take too long to cast.  The "ooh no" heal holy touch reuse should be shortened to 5 mins with a heal twice what it is now, it should be used as a death save ability not the small added bonus every 15 mins it is now.  Do not hit us over the head with the "but you can heal nonsense" either the cast times need reducing or they need to be made in to non interuptable for the argument to be valid, if your MTing or OTing somthing you just dont have time to heal without beign interupted.  Increase the ward to be more usefull (tbh this is our best heal and the one i cast first).</p><p>Paladin cure, this thing is only single target, and is an end line ability, it should remove trauma and Paladin Arch heal, make this a 3 min "ooh no" heal similar to what holy touch should be, then you will have Paladins torn between the two end lines, and give you variety of what people choose,  as it is every Paladin I know chooses shield and wraths, make the other two interesting.</p><p>Seriously these are only ideas and observations, any one would be a step in the right direction.  </p><p>Paladins, please post in this thread, add your comments, if somthing is bugging you then post it in.  There are so many threads about everything, why not have this as the consolidated what bugs you thread.</p><p>Devs, a single reply in here to say that your listening, and a promise to read this thread and keep up with it would be awsome, that way people can post in here knowing that your reading it.  Wether the stuff above is right or wrong its my perception of the class and ideas about ways to take it forward, if you post in here that your going to make a real effort to keep up with this then people will be more inclined to post in here.  There was a thread earlier that a dev consolidated for what bugs you most about the game, this could be the what bugs you most about the Paladin class.</p><p>Please dont flame in here, just post constructive feedback.  If you totally disagree with my change ideas above please put your own forward.  If you think were perfect and no changes needed then say so.  All comments welcome, all ideas welcome, all observations welcome.  </p><p>Regards</p><p>Kahling</p><p> PS btw I love my Paladin and if nothing changes ill still be playing him in a years time, i have learned the class and what its capable of, I know its capable of tanking T1 to T4 as long as you have good healers and I know our hate gen is second to none so I know our DPS cant be exactly on a par with warrior classes as their DPS plays more of a role in holding agro.  No I dont want to roll a guard, no I dont want to see any nerfs on other tank classes, for example I think the guard seems to be perfect now, the guard should not be changed in any way but used as a guage to how balanced the rest of the plate tanks are compared.</p>

<p>Another idea would be to have the end line of AGI, convert Trample to double attack, you want an OT, then u will have one that can do single target DPS closer to warriors (warriors that DPS get 60% da ish) and then drop the buff and you will have an OT that can AOE melle for the encounters that need it, then you dont need to use an aa mirror half way through a raid.</p><p>The mythical could then remove this restriction when the end line agi is used, IE 40% da + 40% aoe melle.  - This would actually be on a par with the guards removal of shield restrictions.</p><p> Im actually most fond of this idea out of all of the above, well this and the changes to our outdated deathsaves.  This way our trample line is good no matter what content they choose next, grouped encounders or solo encounters.  It would be all good.</p>

I had an idea bout 1 year ago bout making someting useful of Wisdom for us paladins... Some kind of modifier in our wisdom AA line, like 100 in wisdom higher your avodiance with lets say 3%, so if you have 500 in wisdom you have 15% more in avodiance. Maybe less, but its an idea. THat make it worht building your paladin on wisdom aye?  The more wise you are, the better you defend.

<p>With 70 AA why choose between 2 end abilities in the paladin line? I have Arch Heal, Hero Shield and Smite Evil.</p>

Sorry I mean that the wrath and shield are givens if u ask me just now.  The other two dont touch them for usefullness, the ideas above would make them more desirable (although tbh no one will ever give up shield)
