I am having a really frustrating problem with EQ2 since the last patch (though tbh its only been since the downtime on thursday). Up til then it played fine, but now every few minutes my game will start to stutter, the frame rate slows right down and if I try and click on anything it doesn't respond. I can barely move, if I try and type it recognises the keystrokes but I can't, say, type in caps or use any symbols above the number keys as it doesn't seem aware that I am pressing the shift key. Then after a few minutes of this, it does it goes back to normal, runs fine for five mins or so, then its rinse and repeat. I have updated my graphics drivers and everything, but its not helped. I even tried changing performance settings, and even having it on the lowest possible settings doesn't help. Its pretty much unplayable, though it did improve slightly after yesterdays down time. Thing is I can play other online games no problem, its just EQ2. I am running XP on an AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 5000+, 2gb Ram with an Nvidia 8600 GT. Now I did see there was a problem with the 8800 series but wasn't sure if it applied to me.If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can make my game playable again I would be very grateful.
