For alot of quest helpers i read on the internet they give compass cordinates and i really dont know how to use it efficiently. If anyone could explain in detail what the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cord increase/decrease by and how to use it efficiently that would be ausome =D. Thx much for reading and thx for responses.

if you see someone using the coordinate system -41, +55, 12 for example that is referring to the x,y,z axis. I belive x is east and west, y would be north and south, z would be vertical position. There is another way to use it the /waypoint command if you follow it up with the coordinates , /waypoint -41,55,12, it will show you on the map with an X and have the wisp trail show you if you are close enough.

Those coordinates are supposed to be used with the /waypoint (or /way for short) command.Just copy the coordinate, then type /way on the chat box and paste the coordinate there. Then an X will appear on your map and a orange glowing thing will appear in front of you, leading in the direction you need to go.For example, /way 595, 4, 318 will put an X on the map where Joleena's Restaurant is in Kelethin. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>and just as an FYI, the center/second number is 'elevation.' As Barbai explains it, you would read the coord as 'x,z,y'</p><p>As mentioned, just use the /loc and /waypoint systems. Don't try to nav via the compass...you'll lose your mind. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /> </p><p>SC</p>

Additionally, you can paste the waypoint directly into the map text box as well. And if you ever see coordinates that are just two numbers: 345, -50. Just insert a 0 for the elevation: 345,0,-50 and it will work.
