Ok here is the deal,

I have a P4 3gig CPU with hyperthearding/turned on, 3gig ram,Gforce 7600GT(AGP) with 256 mb, new 600W PSU(just in yesterday)Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS, Win XP SP2.

I did the following tests to see where I start to have lag problemsas well as the drop in frame rates.

Extream Performance:FPS: 120 solidEQ2 is uglyNo problems with stutteringVerry High Performance:FPS: 780-80EQ looks a little better,No problems with stuttering.

High Performance:Still hovering around 70FPSEQ2 is starting to look good!Still little problems with stuttering

Balanced:FPS: 10-15EQ2 Looks greatstutters badly!Balanced with Flora off:FPS: 40-60No differance in looks except no floraStutters about the same as high performace

From here on out flora as well asenviromental shadows are turned off asboth those kill my frame rates

High Quality:FPS: 40-60EQ2 still looks the sameStutters are a little more pronouncedVery High QualityFPS: 20-30Don't see not visual changeStutters more frequentlyExream QualityFPS: 10-15Still don't see any differanceVery bad stuttering.

Now I noticed when I stutter, it is about whereit is loading.Example:When running acrross antonica from the bell, after you pass under the aquaduct heading to the orical placeit stutters there, then passing the orical tower it does itagain. So is there a way to load more textures into memory?I belive that is where this stuttering is coming from.I understand my PC is getting old, I am planingto build a new one but need this to work good enough till that time.

also I can't say if it is since GU44 as I have just re-opened my accountthe day it was released, been gone for 1 year or so.I hope this thread makes since, I always have a hard time explaning myselfif it don't sorry...

1024X769. I have an LCD but it only supports 800X600 and 1024X758

Your CPU is most likely causing a big bottleneck as well as the amount of RAM on your video card.

I do know that with things like the Fae areaand the new expansion it would probably take newer systems to handle it better.I just tried the Fae area and even at extream performance I was only getting10 FPS.Thanks for the reply guys.
