I've spend 15 minutes digging around and have been unable to find this resource. However, just scanning threads, it is very clear certain video cards present significant issues in use with EQ2.Is there a list of 100% supported / compatible cards?

Go with ATI for EQ2 heard there are less compatability problems like the HD 3870... those are cheap and nice

Ethically speaking, I think the 8800 series should be removed off that list.  I really dont see how any of the 8800's can be supported by this game when there are currently known and unresolved issues with these boards that severely effect gameplay.

Similar issues have been reported by 8800GTX users that are running in OC'd GPU's.  It would seem apparent that not all 8xxx or 9xxx cards really are 100% compatible with EQ2.  I was hoping to find an intelligent and authoritative source on this in asking SoE support for a computability list.I would very much prefer not to rely on the opinions or experiences of individual users, but be able to know buying a specific manufacturer / model will insure a compatible experience with EQ2.

Go with ATI... Sony sucks and doesnt support 8xxx or 9xxx series.  They need to step their game up, or people will just quit because of frustration

Hmm.  after the 9600 Fiasco, he got an 8800 GT.  He has had no issues with it yet...  *shrugs*I wish you luck though in finding the card that you want.

Best thing I personally did was rma the 8800's back to the manufacturer and go back to the 7950GX2's that where in the machine prior, 99 percent of the problems I encoutered in eq2 and other games went away. Playing around with the new 9800GX2's right now and so far so good.

The fact that the 9600 only had issue with EQ2 and no other game I tried it with indicates to me there is something off here.
