Need some input on gear past level 70...

So, my guardian is level 73 now; a lot of his gear is from Labs (fabled type).My question is: should I try to upgrade his current gear with T8 crafted gear or some legendary I've seen on the broker?I don't really keep up with mit, stats, dps % talk, but I noticed that most of T7 fabled gear has higher MIT than some of the T8 crafted and legendary gear; I also noticed that T8 gear has higher resists and bonuses.I don't tank raid encounters; I do tank instance encounters and the usual group stuff that most tanks do.Can you guys give me some pointers as to which direction to go in terms of gear/weapon/shield?Thanks!

Ok, I modified my search a bit...found a topic about legendary gear at level 80, so this makes me believe that I should just wait until I hit level 80?

Well, most likely you should really look at replacing gear at level 77+ That's when our T8 legendary set becomes available, as well as the new mastercrafted armor. You have to also realize that just because the mit amount is lower that you may still have a higher mitigation %. This is because a T8 item mitigates better than a T7 one on T8 content.

Like you i too started RoK with mostly KoS fabled gear a few EoF things but nothing really good i missed out on EoF. I had no problem tanking the instances in RoK from CoA to maidens(at the time i may have needed 2 healers, now I run with one) I replaced all the Doomrage stuff with Onslaught gear rather quickly.. i Would recomend making sure all ur CA's and buffs are adebt 3 before spending any plats on the gear on the broker..theres also a few quested items that you should make sure u get as well....really no need for lvl 72 MC stuff in your situation...

Your best method of levelling to 80 is through quests and not grinding. And gear is less important for questing. Like the others stated, just wait until you can wear the 77 legendary stuff. I levelled all the way to 80 in mostly labs gear with a couple EoF pieces. You'll pick up some decent legendary pieces from quests along the way too.
