Was T'Lys' Minor Familar Changed?

<p>I just returned after about 2 years or so.  My wizard used to have a familiar which was a book.  Now the only familiar I have is a cat.  Was this changed?  I know it was a book because now my cats name is "Fictionary" which was the name I used for my floating book.</p><p>hes level 28 for what its worth, ratonga</p>

Book is now the third *fluff* summon.  You get cat > flying serpent > book.  You can also get a book that increases spell crit with 1 AA point in your sorc tree(in fact you have to place it to open the 5 lines).EDIT => Welcome back!  I just came back from a 2-3 year break in late February - early March myself.  SO MUCH has changed.  If you have it in you, you may want to do like I did and start over at level 1(they cut the grow into your job progression) just to get a feel for the changes, get gear from TD(quest are lvl 1 - 20), and start receiving AA at level 10.

<p>this is the second time I returned to the game, last time they changed the appearance of the Shadowknight steed to something I thought looked worse.  Now they changed this familiar from a book to a cat.</p><p>I really dont like the cat familiar at all.  Any way, no sense in me whining.  I just think the team could have spent their man hours better than to keep messing with fluff spells.</p>

Honestly, it didn't bother me.  Mainly because you can get the exact same book at level 10 with your first AA point which doesn't cost a single coin.  Do a couple quest and you'll have an AA point in no time.

You don't need a book, you just spend the AA point.  Press "L" to bring up the screen and select sorc tree to find the book.  When you get that AA spec, you get a book, gargoyle, and drake.
