View Full Version : The game is not what its supsoe to be for me

I just bought a quad core with Vista (the best none 64bit version) and since my 8800GTX was back order he gave me a 7600 untill he could get it.

I was running the game with max resolution and balanced performence option. My FPS was anywhere betwin 14-19. SO minor lagging.

Now he just gave me my 8800gtx and I found myself that I can't boost the graphiq. WIth balanced I am at 24FPS but it drop down to 14FPS anyways if I am moving. SO tis barely an upgrade. Is it normal ? I have the right drivers. I just re-installed the Nvidia drivers.

Anyone may help ?

I bought the computer from the same dude I bought all my previous ones. Thats why he gave me a 7600till he could receive my 8800.

Go to your properties on your your computer and see what kind of Watts that thing is putting out. Remember EQ2 client doesnt have multiple core support yet, no dx10 (if your running dx10 rollback to dx9), and with specs like that I would use a power plant of more than 800 just because if you ever wanted to upgrade anything that you use hardware wise doesnt run out of power. 1200w units are about 250 and youll have more than plenty power to support your processor and video card. A nice unit will also have an individual fan and will help your video card run at maximum capacities.

In this pack there is an option to set "Render Frames Ahead"...set this to 1In game turn off shadows8800GT getting a good steady 60FPS in most places, dropping to low 40's when lots happening....good stuffLater

This game currently only uses one core of your processor. You want better framerates at the highest quality setting? Get a faster CPU, preferably 4.0GHz or better.

I thought that 3.5was the fastest possible. In fact they started to work on multiple core when they realised they where at the max speed possible for the technologie we do use.
