I will link my previous post.... I was constantly updating it, but no one was posting anymore and I ran out of ideas.... Yellow textures, need advice please. I added my DxDiag to that post as well. Any help is appreciated...But as of yesterdays patch, I have new issues on top of the old ones it seems...I am still getting the yellow textures, as well as the d3derr errors... This is what I got this morning..... after seeing the yellow textures again. But yesterday, I was thrown a new error... As you can see from my previous post, I have tried MANY Things to include reinstalling the game. While the crash was on my screen, I took a peek at my CPU usage... The amount for eq2 has become HUGE since the update. Any ideas?

Okay I'm going to shoot on this problem. 1.) Uninstall Direct X (whatever version you have) 2.) Uninstall Drivers for your video card. 3.) Reinstall with most recent drivers (If the drivers page has an automatic updater use that DO NOT search for your driver, most driver installer pages have a device to scan and detect your video card make and model. Use the manufacturers page). 4.) Install Direct x9. Here is the link for that driver http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...;DisplayLang=en I noticed a Direct x error in your message windows there. This could be your problem. From your run window pull up your dxdiag and see which version of DirectX you have. (In the run line type dxdiag). Try that <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />" /> You also have a problem with your framework, have you updated windows completley? (Go to the Google Search engine and type in Microsoft Windows Update, If you havnt updated windows your DX9 driver may not even be installed. I know a lot of gamers turn automatic updates off. This is a very important step). Also set your graphics card to let the application decide if it is applicable.

Thanks for posting... Updated Windows completely. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Drivers for my card. To the point of installing Nvidia's as well as the Newer Manufacturer's. Still had issues...The only thing that I Have not done yet is uninstall DirectX as we can not figure out how to do that without completely wiping the system and starting over... we did that a few weeks back when the issues started...We did try the DXRedistribution (how to fix any issues from a corrupt DirectX) from Microsoft and that didnt work. It did something, but I still have the issues...It started when I upgraded my graphics card to the 8600GT and had to buy new memory as a new motherboard was needed as well. I Had a very old system (still AGP based).. lol. It seems to only affect EQ2. I have played LoTRO for hours on end with no issues there. We have contacted the manufacturer of the card in hopes of something. They are VERY helpful, but so far have not found anything on their end... We even took out the card and tried it on my husbands Computer...3Dmark works fine....we are looking into a memory thing as well........lolWe are just running out of ideas....I am beginning to learn WAY too much about all this stuff. It is why I Married my hubby. If I no longer need him, then why keep him around... lol. Help me keep my marriage please! *wink*Thanks again for the replies....

To reinstall Dx9 just go to the link i sent you and it will remove the version you have now. I have Vista and I tryed Dx10 with utter failure. Did you look at your DXdiag file and see which version of DirectX you have?

Try this...found it in a thread...

Part of the problem is as follows:DirectX Files Tab: Several files (d3dx9d.dll, d3d9d.dll) are debug versions, which will run slower than the retail version.Go to www.microsoft.com/DirectX and download the stand alone runtime version of DirectX 9.0c. Do not download the developerversion, as this will be the debug version.Boot into Safe Mode and install the newly downloaded runtime version of DirectX 9.0c. Install video drivers and sound driversafter booting into Windows in normal mode, so they can update DirectX appropriately.Ideally, you want to apply the latest computer based drivers in the following order:Chipset drivers (mainboard)DirectXVideo and Sound drivers.

Just as an update.... We wiped the system yesterday. As we were trying to re install Windows, we popped up with an error. We had to do a Slipstream to install it. Not sure what he did, but it did seem to work.I have no idea if this was part of or cause of the issue.. But time will tell...I will update as I see issues or dont see them...Thanks again for any suggestions that were given on this post!
