As promised... I stated if I could walk through Neriak from the docs to the bridge on max settings without stuttering or crashing, I would soil my pants... so... I SOILED MY PANTS!!!Obviously Image Shack degrades the quality but you can see I am standing under the bridge and getting 42 fps with every last option maxed!!!!<img src="http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/5402/eq2000064gz2.jpg" border="0" alt="" />I will post back after I traverse a bunch of zones trying to get the client to swap (or at least call release() ) to see if the stuttering problem rears its ugly head.*Very Happy Customer*

*** Update ***I've gone through SS(which has given me issue before), GFay(used to be Very High or crash), and about 2 hours in Klack'Anon. And now as I stair at the docs(which used to be Balanced or crash)... I have not had to turn off Extreme once. I do still on occasion get a few stutters(especially town) but they are much less than before(maybe because there is more space to cache textures?).At any rate, I'm very happy with this update. I would still like to eventually see a 8800 stutter fix in the future, but think this update is a huge step in the right direction.

I agree. the game is running better...but not perfect, but it is a start. I think for us 3+ gig users, we get the most benefit (I will assume yours is over 3+ gigs Trilarian-2)I still get a minor lock here and there, and had to go back to my Nvidia control panel and makes some adjustments (the game runs better now WITHOUT AA, when before it ran better)...but certainly pleasedThanks

I tested running across the bridge in Neriak on the Test Server before they updated the live servers and I was able to do so without crashing. When the update made it to the live servers, it still crashed. I am actually getting more stutters and freezes after the update than I did before.

I think you followed my post back in the 8800 thread. I have changed a few things since then that seem to have improved a little more(I'll have to play with AA since you see a boost there).Basicaly, I turned off SLI completely. I then hooked my second monitor up to the second video card. Then turned both cards to "Single Monitor Performance Mode". After a series of test with SLI-Enabled "Single GPU", "Alternate Frame 1", "Alternate Frame 2", SLI-Disabled "Multiple Monitor Performance Mode", "Single Monitor Performance Mode", etc. I sadly found the latter to give the best overall performance(and as a bonus it let me use my second monitor for quest/maps).Even though I'm not getting amazing 120+ fps I averaged 30-40 fps in the trouble zones that used to crash and 60 fps (I'm capped by vsync) in the good ones, and that is good enough for now. As I said, would like to eventually see the grand "fix", but for now I'm very happy to not have to remember to change my settings or crash while going into some zones. I set the graphics once last night and used the same settings from group to town to back outside to town again... the way a game should play. :)
