1) yes, being a paladin is fun. You get a little bit of everything in one class.

2) For a fighter, we solo very well. Self healing goes a long way towards allowing you to solo things other fighters wouldn't even consider. However, it isn't as easy to solo as a lot of the DPS classes. Also druids solo a bit easier than paladins.

3) If your planning on raiding, make something else. Most raids only want 2 tanks and right now they perfer guardians and bezerkers. If your looking to make a interesting, multi-tallented group focused tank then you'll be happy as a paladin.

The hero line for the blocking mastery is almost a no-brainer. Smite Evil is an extremely good ability as is the lines that lead up to it. Stamina line for Divine Avoidance is extremely common amongst crusaders. After that, anywhere you want to go seems good. I'd suggest either strength or inteligence lines while leveling. Once you reach t8 you might want to respec depending on what instances you do commonly. Picking up a Mirror of Reflected Achievments to switch between 2 different AA profiles is becomming a lot cheaper than it use to be. You might consider this when you have 50g to spare.

As far as trade skills go...it doesn't matter. Every one will benifit you in some way, but they all require time to get any benifit out of them. One thing you might consider is Tinkering. Tinkering is a secondary tradeskill. You can pick it up without doing a primary crafting class. It is limited by the higher of your adventuring or crafting levels. Many high level tinkered items duplicate abilities from other classes that you'll enjoy, like feign death.

Well top level raid tanking depends on your natural ability, the time you can put into getting into a Raid guild (if you want to), where you are in the world (Guild choices, internet connection and lag) and your comp hardware.

It also depends on whether the higher tier raid guilds on your server want to depart from a Guard/Zerk system thats welded on, so you can get a start.

'Mid' level Guilds that raid ("Family Guilds&quot often make use of Paladins for raid tanks as well as for their utility so you arent just restricted to grouping and instances.
