Screen Blackout

Logging in today I start running around and the screen goes black on me.  I can still see my UI but the game itself is blacked out.  If I turn to the side for awhile it comes back.  I can run forward and backward and it's fine, but moving to the side at all causes the screen to black out.  I tried playing with my settings but cannot find exactly what is causing this.  This just started happening after the patch so please if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.  As of now EQ2 is unplayable.

I logged into South Qeynos, made my way to North Qeynos, then used Call of Kelethin to go to the Greater Faydark.  The blackout happened off and on in all 3 zones.  I tried shutting down and starting back up and the problem continued.  Starting a new character did not help.  I am using 2gb of ram, an Asus Striker 2 mobo, dual 8800 gt's in SLI mode, Creative Labs X-FI Fatality sound card all drivers are up to date as is Direct X.   Also I have noticed since my first post, that when I hitch I stay locked up for a couple seconds where as yesterday it was a fraction of a second, and I am having much more frequent instances of EQ2 closing on me.  Yesterday it would do it about every 2 hours.  Today it's happened 5 times in an hour.  Hope all that helps.

I tried changing the patcher as suggested int hat thread, I looked for any paks that were 0kb, I tried running EQ2 under XPSP 2 compatibility and running it as administrator to no avail.  However the symptoms are identical to what others described in that thread.  At this point since I seem to be alone with the problem I am guessing one of my files has been corrupted in some way that I have as of yet, been unable to identify.  So tomorrow I will wipe the drive slap good old XP back on and see how it turns out.

Alright I wiped my hard drive, twice (screwed up my first install of XP home), I have all current drivers again and am running on XP home as opposed to vista and using direct x 9.0c as opposed to dx 10.  I still am getting the screen blackout problem on a fresh install of EQ2.  So I unloaded and wiped every trace of EQ2 out of my system and reinstalled it (for a total of 3 times now) and I still have the problem.  The only change is that I get some additional graphics in South Qeynos, and only South Qeynos, when the screen goes black on me.     <img src="http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?quickkey=rhzy1crmmnz&thumb=4" alt="" border="0" />I need some help, please for almighty God I need my fix of EQ2.

I hate to keep spamming this thread with my own posts but I developed a new symptom in my ongoing struggle to play EQ2 (every other game works fine btw).  I created another new character and while in 3rd person mode my character disappeared.  I could still run around and interact with the enviroment I just couldn't see muy character.  I didn't get it back before I logged about 10 minutes later.  Please help.
