Myself and my wife play EQ2.Were new.We are now level 22, done all quests (which we can find) in Greater fayadark (Kelethin) abar a few Crush Bone Keep ones... Which we cant find a group to do.. So we will wait till we are level 26 to Duo it.But basicly the quests have not lored or continued us to move on to another area.. So we took it upon our selfs to move to Butchback Mountain ( think its called that). We been leveling there. Is this correct? I kinda thought quets would guide you to area, to area etc. Also what Stats should my wife as a Paladin concentrate raising?myself as a Mage always go for INT items.

I thought that there was a quest in Gfay near the BBM zone that mentions going into BBM? You are in the correct place though for that level. As for the Paladin, if you open your Persona window by hitting P, you can run your mouse over the numbers next to the stats and it will tell you what each stat does for that class. Then it is just decide what she wants to set up as....

Depending on if your wife wants to go full on tank or increase her dps, She should either Focus on STA(for health) First followed by STR/INT(Power & damage) or Focus on STR/INT first followed by STA.

STR and INT both have an effect on Crusaders power pool, and STR increases the Damage CAs do, while INT increases the damage Spells do, and as Crusaders use both Spells and CAs to cause damage your wife wants both. STA effects total health and if she want to be a full on tank Health is just about the most importiant thing.

My recommendation (as it pretty much follows my set-up, as I found myself in a similar duo for the longest time), is for her to keep her heals and taunts the best quality she can. That way, she will be able to heal pretty well in your duo adventures, and if she needs to be a tank in a larger group, her taunts will keep things focused on her. She also needs to keep her stances (offensive and defensive) as high a quality as possible as well, with an emphasis on her defensive stance for your duo. Defensive stance grants a WIS buff, which increases power pool. She won't have that great DPS, but her main focus will be keeping your tank pet alive. Plus, as your pet becomes fully engaged, she can throw a taunt every once in a while to keep herself high on the hate list, so if your pet does die, she can pull the angry mob off of you before you go the way of your pet.

I know this kinda sounds counter to what a paladin should be doing, but we're pretty much outclassed by an Adept III or better Conjuror tank pet in the tanking department, but our heals and ward are sufficient enough to keep the pet alive.
