Hello,

I'd just like to comment that if you'd like more people to test, please refrain from calling 2hour + downtimes a quick update. Now, I know things go wrong, and I know that test will be taken down when and as needed, with that in mind however I think you should keep in mind that you have publicly asked about getting more people to play on test. I'm attempting to make a new home for myself on test and I find this particular 2 hour downtime in my friday prime time extra frustrating because the message that was sent said it'd be down for a "quick" update. I thank you for letting test players know it was coming down, that's a good thing, but this result compared to the posted optimisim is quite frustrating.

To all the other people on test, I state again that I am well aware of the fact that it is a test server, and that it can, will and should be taken down. What I don't like about that is the sole message I've seen was a quick update, it's now 2 hours and 14 minutes later. That's alot of my play time, and that's fine, it can be down for 2 weeks if they want, but they should update eta if it's going to go long and they want to attract and keep people playing on the Test server.

Thank you for your time,

Kalom

Im pretty new to Test to, and this downtime on a Friday night to change the color palette from shifting does seem alittle out there<img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /> I'm just hoping we haven't seen the rest of the notes yet, cause a 2 hour downtime for this in primetime is more likey to drive new players back to Live then attract new players to Test

Rinissa,

Thanks for taking the time to post, that is what I'm talking about. It's now 3 hours and 4 minutes for the quick update. I just wish they'd do a better job of informing people about the duration of outtages or update people when one runs long. There's never been more then 74 people on the test channel when I checked, several of course on their live characters. I think this is one of the reasons they can't grow the test community they claim to want to attract, and that's a shame.

Thanks for your time,

Kalom

Edited to replace the name accredited to you in reply with the name that shows on the forum when reading the thread.... strange.
