You can purchase sales crates and strong boxes on the broker that you can place in your vault. That will greatly increase your storage capacity.

You can do the same at the bank.

You also have a pair of slots in your house for your vault. If the old gear says No-Value on it, then you will gain no coin from selling it (You sweat too much in it and no one wants it). Most starting gear is like this. As you are older, the attuned stuff will at least sell to the NPC vendor. For some more info about broker, and containers....Buying and Selling from the BrokerHome Sweet Hovel

omg, is that your house? i have a wooden floor, a sales board, a picture, a monkey, and a table and.. .. well, nothing like that. kewl, my room kind of depresses me, but i go back every so often to feed the monkey. lolthanks for the tips. not sure if I will ever get those large boxes, im using some of the early quest bags i got that have fewer slots than what i have on me, and that gives me extra space for now. i wish you could just drop armor in a rack that sits in your room like a display case, and it show the actual items in the case. just a thought.anyway.. thanks for the help.

If you provide the matierials, some will make the boxes for you for a minimal fee (usually the cost of fuels). This is how I generally get things made that I can't craft myself, and I'll usually double the fuel cost (at higher tiers) just for the effort they put into it. It might take a bit longer to get it done that way than straight buying it from the broker, but you can save some money by taking the extra time.

When I first started this game, I got the one room in Nettleville Hovel (back before they decided to drop the Hovel) ... and I remember thinking to myself "Well THIS is cute, but I'm not gonna spend much time here. Who would want to spend their time decorating a HOUSE in-game???" yeah... just got finished selling almost everything I owned and stripping all my alts to come up with 50pp to outfit my 5 room SQ manor... Who wants to spend their time decorating an in-game house??? uh... me, I guess... LOLSeriously, as the game progresses, you'll start getting stuff... some of it you'll keep, some of it you'll toss. Heck, I still have my 'Qeynos Coin' I got when I first started! As for displaying items in your house, well, others have already posted about the mannequins, those are kind of new. They're lots of fun though!

Those mannequins are not cheap, but I'd saved and collected robes since the launch of the game in the hope that I could one day display them! When you have a little spare money have a search for house items under a certain cost, you know you can preview most items by hoveing over the icon and holding down CONTROL, then clicking to ppen the dressing room - this works for weapons and armour as well as house items. Also if you do get into your house there are many carpenters who do it just for the love of houses, e.g. they don't really make much money and often have lots of house items stored away that they would bo only too happy to see put to use.

Retro_Guy you must have a MASSIVE monitor to handle that resolution...

I am totally jealous.

also of mention, there are several UI mods that make your bags take up less room. They can get rid of the pesky spaces between the boxes and whatnot for a more compact look.

Can't remember if it's my UI mod, or just an option, but I was able to set my font size, the size of bags (it was a slider bar), and control the amount of space between the slots (I set mine to 0). That goes a long way towards reducing the overall size of containers.

If the OP is on Antonia Bayle, my carpenter, Danda, would be happy to make boxes for the fuel costs. The biggest she can make atm is Teak, so not as big as the ones in the screen shot, but much bigger then the beginner ones.

After filling the bank and house vault spaces, you can also store stuff on the broker. Just keep the for sell option set to 'No'. You can even mix it up a bit, sell some stuff and not some.
