View Full Version : Live Update 44 --- What bug fixes?

I have been checking the forums and maybe I just am looking in the wrong places, but the only information I find about GU 44 is new content. I'd be happy if we skipped new content for a few updates and just worked on game mechanics. There seems to be a lot of issues out there.

Are there any posts that list what bugs are being fixed in the next update?

Do others agree?
Nope, keep the content coming as well as the bug fixes as they are already doing.

I'm just saying that maybe we could skip an update or two that releases new content and let the Devs work on just game mechanics for a little bit. Maybe they could get some of the major bugs fixed.

In fact if they ever touch code, the programmers start running in slow motion "NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo!!!!!!!!" and try to swat the keyboard away.

Some things that I’m really proud of are the boat transports, the house lag fix, the quest sharing system and even simple things like icon tinting for out of range/power. I’m really proud to have been an integral part of every EQ2 expansion and I’m excited about the voice chat feature that I’m working on currently."If I read that paragraph correctly I see "bug fixes" and "content" additions...wouldn't you? That happens to be all one person...interesting...Stratics Interview with Joshua KriegshauserOr tryGreg's PlaceWhere he discusses Mannequins. I think i would have preferred the 8800 issue looked at than having Mannequins....This is what we mean by "content"...not just quests...OK?Thanks

Then apparently we have different definitions of content. I see "features" in every one of those.

Content - to me - would be new quests, new zones, new raid mobs, new armor graphics, hell even new voice overs. The people that make any of those should not be let anywhere near the code.

And honestly, I like house lag fixes, icons tinting for power/range, expansions, and possible addition of voice chat, addition of guild houses. Yes, I want 8800 issues fixed and want them working on it, but no I don't want them to drop development of everything cool and work on just that. I guess we simply disagree.

Zero

Zero, your right. I am just frustrated with the 8800 problem and wonder why we aren't hearing details. I agree with the comment that content programmers shouldn't be working on game mechanics. I didn't think it though.

I just wanted to know if anyone knew about any links that detailed the bug fixes in GU 44. Has anyone seen that?
