Weapon choice?

Is a two hander worth giving up the shield slam for? And is keeping up all skills, crush, slash, peirce worth it?

Unless you're tanking something hard, two hander is worthwhile.  For serious tankage, shield is worthwhile.If you keep up all your skills you can use any fun weapon that drops.   Lord knows when I killed the Leviathan I wished my piercing were maxxed.

might be good idea to have all weapon skills maxxed just in case you do find a nice weapon.  i need to work on all mine lol.  as far as what weapon to use, i use a 2hander even when im tanking unless im taking a lot of damage, then i use shield.  i am a troll so i also have the racial stun so i can bash even with no shield equipped.

While I was leveling up in RoK, I found that solo wise, a shield and 1hand (while in offensive form) are better for no down time.  The mobs just hit so hard, that you can take a serious beating if you are trying to solo these non stop.  You can also forget about taking 2 targets at once, even if they are blue... they may end up killing you if you don't use up all your big cooldowns.  If you have a shield up, you probably won't take too much damage due to the amount you block.It would be really sweet to have protection (like a shield of that level) while having a 2 hander out in defensive form.

Do the RoK mobs hit that much harder than KoS mobs? (I dunno, I'm 62 now.) It seems I can pull about 8 mobs, Death march then AoE them down. (All with a 2h.)
