View Full Version : Raid Window UI

Would be nice to get a new kind of Raid Window UI with some upgraded features. One thing I would deffinately like to see is an expanded style loot system for raids. A leader selects Raid from the options menu and can select prompting, assigning, or the new group system.

If the "Prompting" window is selected and a chest drops the first thing that happens is a window pops up along with the loot. Here the raid leader can see a players name, class and level then put them into a randomized roll for the loot item. Once the people for the item are selected the raid leader can select the amount to be rolled *1-100 (Minimum), 1-1000 (Maximum)*. When the roll amount is confirmed people get a prompt to hit "roll" or hit "Decline". Hitting the roll function does an automatic /random Xmax number and the number result is sent to the leader.

Here the leader can an automatic window of who rolled what, what class they are, what level, and at the end what their roll was. Person at the top would be the highest roller while the lowest roller would be at the bottom.

Another function that would be nice is having 4 tiny impairment boxes under peoples names. When a person gets that type of impairment on them that is cureable the box lights up. This could be used as a signal system for people to see what impairment is on what player and send them a quick cure.

Or every one who want an item in a loot system like this can do a /random 1- #### why waste developers time for this. Considering that most raids are run by a guild and use eitehr a DKP or leader assigned loot. Every pick up raid I have been on uses either a /random roll or just the straight lotto system already built into the game. I might not understand what you are asking for, but it appears that you want to overcomplicate the loot system.

And click to cure is already available in a lot of custom UIs, but with the new cure curse ability you should include 5 windows instead of 4, but if you want to include click to cure, then make it so it is always available, not just in raids. This woudl be a nice feature to add to default UIs, and esay to impliment as the coders woudl simply have to either download a custom UI and back engineer it or simply ask one of the Custoom UI coders if they woudl be kind enouhg to give them the code. Or what SoE would do is have the programers/coders develope thier own overcomplicated system.

This way i'm not playing whack-a-mole half the time trying to figure out what impairment is on what person and what that impairment is be it nox, trauma, arcane or elemental.

Also if you get down to it 1/4 of the stuff in game now people considered a "Waste of developers time" and yet it was implemented. Just throwin an idea or 2 out there nothing more.

There's 4 per character (expanding to 5 with GU44) in the group and raid windows, one per type of impairment. They light to indicate which ones are on the character, and have a number showing how many of that type are active. Clicking on a lit icon activates the appropriate Cure spell, but nothing says you can't ignore that and use conventional target-and-cure from the hotbar instead.
