Is this safe??

I found out that somehow I was downloading test server files. My EQ2 folder is 17.7 gigs.  I never have played on the test server and my TestServer folder is over 8 gigs.  Is it safe to just delete this folder?  And if I can, is there a way to make sure that this won't happen again??
