I have an issue. I quit EQ2 for over 2 years and returned a month ago where I left off, at level 54 with about 600 quests done and numerous Legend/Lore, Heritage quests completed. Before I left there were no AE's, and now there are. Am I fooling myself into thinking I can continue to level and be great at my class when I will lack the AE's other Mystics have at 80? So far with exploring new area experience (where some newbie zones give exp and some don't) and turning in a bunch of collection quests, I have 54 AE's at level 64. Is there something I can do?I recently read mentoring down and turning in lower level quests might help gain some AE's, of course I read this after I turned in about 10+ grey quests thinking it would give me a tiny bit of AE (my fault for not paying attention to the experience bar and turning in large groups of collections at once) but the lower level quests did not. Help!!Am I fooling myself thinking I can get level 80 and be effective? I solo a great deal so I've followed the combat line. Are there AE skills I'll never need/use? I am guilded with two other Mystics who are 80 and have 125+ AE's. Will it be smarter to give up and quit, continue on, or reroll a Mystic again? Is there some trick to help gain AE points for older players who are returning or played to 50+ before the AE/Level Cap? If I turn off combat experience does the experience go to Alternative Experience? I can't seem to find info on that. Any advice is very much appreciated!!AkaushaGuk Server

At level 64 I, for one, would not want to reroll and I don't think you need to. Look at what you've done. You have gained 54 AAs in 10 levels! Those other mystics in your guild are really big slackers compared to you.

The most effective way to gain AA is to do quests and it sounds like you are doing plenty of those already. You could mentor to do low level quests and to kill low level named mobs. Even if you have killed them previously you will get AA if you have not been awarded achievement experience for them yet.

I think you are way more worried than you need to be. You are catching up nicely. Just keep at it

Quest away and don't enter Kunark until you have 90+ AA

Here is the trick:1. Don't hit RoK until you are Level 70. Just take my word on this. I've taken three characters from 70 to 80 with my fourth currently L74 (and 96%). I know you can probably handle it sooner. That's beside the point. Your goal is to maximize your gains, not see how fast you can plow through RoK.2. When you hit L70, you need around 80 AA's. If you have that, you'll be great. You'll hit L80 with about 125 AA's.3. Mentor! If there is ANY way you can duo through Timorous Deep with a guildy alt or something DO IT. You'll pick up 10 or so AA's while your mentored alt goes from L1 to L20. The quests there give really good AA.
