PC turns off while playing...

My gf's NEW desktop pc turns off every so ofen. shes played as long as 3 hours and as little as 10 minutes before the desktop completely turns off. her specs are as follows Core 2 duo 2.4ghz Nvidia 8600 GT 512MB2048MB Ram @ 667 mhz She is able to leave her comp on all night with nothing running with no turn offs... but even with the game on High performance she gets shutdowns frequently.... she even tried plugging in her PC to a seperate outlet to allow for power... and nothing ... please help.

Does it turn of turn off, or reboot?My husbands reboots and he believes that his Power supply isnt strong enough for his new Graphics card...  Which is actually true he found out...lolIt could be heat related too.  You can try to take the case off and see if it still happens.  Make sure it is all cleaned out and no dust.

<p>mine used to turn off + reboot when RoK came out.</p><p>Came on here and still havnt found a cure other than runnin in window mode...</p><p>i can play as often + as little as i want without reboots + power downs as long as im in window mode.</p><p>eq2 eats your memory like something terrible</p>
