I have Eof, I recently bought RoK. I have Windows XP. The installation went smoothly. After I click 'finnish', the box disappears and nothing. There are no new icons for RoK. So I click on my origianl EQ2 icon and it looks like nothing different. It does not ask me for my product key. I go to create a new character and the Sarnak is darkened. During the installation it shows everything being copied into the old directory. I even tried repairing my installation. So whatz up? What am I missing?

I doubt this matters but I have FetishNightfall UI and EQ2MAP Updater

Did you buy RoK from the online store? or in a store? If bought in the store, did you put in the registration key?Perhaps something here can help you out.... Buying and continuing Everquest II help thread

I bought it from a store and nothing asked me for the key. I checked add and remove programs and it shows it is installed. I am going to check your link out. Thanks.

If you bought it from a local store, then there should be a key inside on a paper.. You need to sign in to your account and add that key to your account. I hope that this resolves it....

You need to add RoK to your account. Find the key for the expansion on or in the box you bought from the store. Run the game launcher, when it gets to the "updating" screen click the "My Account" button. You will have to sign in and once you do there will be at the very bottom of the page a button for registering an expansion. Click there and you should get a place to put in your key. Once that is done rerun the launcher and you should be good to go.

I think I see that, is it in the station.com where you enter an activation code? LOL! It does not say anything at all about that in the install manual I got. :0)

It is working!!! I love the manual in the box, Step 1, insert CD, installer is automatic, step 2 follow the prompts through the setup process Step 3, when complete, run EQII b clicking on EQII icon.

They don't tell you to sign on to input your registration key. Oh Well, I am happy now! Thanks Guys and Girls!
