Cant run updater..

 Just installed eq2 on this laptop and cant figure out why it wont update... i sign in, and it scannes the files, and seems to download the first file but subsequently cancels the download.. killed my firewall and didnt help. Any advice would be appriciated.

  --Also, from the launchpad i cant run the chat client, see update notes, or check my account status... if that helps diagnose the problem..

What OS are you using?  If you are on Vista, you need to run as admin...
