Vista 64 bit install path

Sorry, I am a newb when it comes to 64 bit setup, I just started using it. When I installed EQ2 vista installed it in the program files x86 folder. Does this mean that it will automatically be limited? Should it be in the 64 bit program files directory? And does windows specifically assign 64 or 32 bit by being in the different program files directories?

EQ2 is a 32bit binary, all 32bit binaries are placed in the x86 dir.  EQ2 does not have a 64bit binary so its correct in its placement.<div>And for the most part yes, all 32bit programs will be in x86 program files while all 64 bit will be in normal, there is obvious differences to this rule, like Crysis for me installed into the 86 dir, but there is a 64bit binary in the folder I run for the game.</div>
